A woman died in a fire in Nizhny Novgorod.

A woman was killed in a fire in a multi-storey apartment building on Julius Fuchik Street in Nizhny Novgorod. This was announced on September 26 in the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

"Fire on an area of 10 sq. m. The fire was extinguished by 33 specialists of the emergency department and seven pieces of equipment. Unfortunately, a woman died," the Telegram channel said.

Firefighters of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuated 25 people from the entrance, including three children. It is specified that the preliminary cause of the fire was a violation of the rules of operation of electrical equipment.
