Zakharova spoke about the plans of the Kiev regime to commit another provocation.

The Kiev regime intends to continue provocations with violation of the air borders of NATO countries, passing off drones launched from the territory of Ukraine as allegedly Russian. This was stated to Izvestia on September 26 by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, with reference to Hungarian articles.

"Why is the Kiev regime doing this? Obviously, because they don't get what they want on the battlefield. Obviously, it's from them, from [President of Ukraine Vladimir] Everyone is tired of Zelensky <...>. Somehow they, the Kiev regime, need to gain a foothold in international positions, and for this they need to involve the countries of the European Union," Zakharova explained.
