Expropriation of Russian assets, which the European Union (EU) plans to carry out in order to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), is excluded — these actions confirm the West's intention to continue the conflict. This was announced on September 26 at the Russian Embassy in the UK.

"We are closely monitoring the development of these illegitimate plans...> No operations with Russian assets can be carried out without the consent of the owner," TASS quotes the contents of the Russian diplomatic mission in London.

It is clarified that it is also impossible to bring what was conceived by European states under a "pseudo-legal basis." The content of the document emphasizes that if this initiative is implemented, Moscow will reserve the right to take retaliatory measures.

On the same day, the Politico newspaper learned about the plans of the European Commission (EC) to provide Kiev with a loan in the amount of 140 billion euros at the expense of frozen assets of Russia. Later, Belgian Prime Minister Bart de Wever announced that his country would not support this decision if it was adopted, as this step would endanger not only Brussels, but the entire EU.
