On September 26, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed preparations for the Russian-Indian summit scheduled for the end of this year with Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
"The foreign ministers discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation, including preparations for the Russian-Indian summit scheduled for the end of the year," the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website.
In addition, the parties discussed topical issues on the international agenda, including the Ukrainian conflict and the situation in the Middle East. They also agreed to continue strengthening the strategic partnership of the states and increase cooperation on various platforms, including BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
On September 26, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev, as part of a working visit to India, attended the opening of the World Food India 2025 exhibition together with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and also visited the exposition of Russian exporters of agricultural products.
