Navrotsky signed a law extending aid to Ukrainian refugees
Polish President Karol Nawrocki has signed a law extending special status and assistance for Ukrainian refugees, as well as ending benefits for unemployed foreigners. This was reported on September 26 by TASS with reference to the administration of the Polish leader.
"The laws signed by the president: <... The law of September 12, 2025 on amendments to certain laws in order to verify the right to family benefits for foreigners and on the conditions for providing assistance to citizens of Ukraine in connection with the armed conflict on the territory of this state," the statement said.
According to the law, the special status and assistance for Ukrainian refugees are extended for six months, until March 2026. In addition, social benefits will be paid to working foreigners, including "800 plus" for children.
Earlier, on September 12, the Polish Sejm adopted a bill amending some laws to verify the right to family benefits for foreigners, primarily Ukrainians. It is also emphasized that restrictions will be imposed on the provision of medical services to adult citizens of Ukraine.
