Sobyanin talked about filming a movie in the capital
More than 90% of the domestic film content is shot in the capital, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in the MAX messenger.
He recalled that a film cluster is being created in the city, which will combine several venues. Among them is the Moskino Film Park in Tinao. They conduct outdoor location shooting there.
Another venue is the Moskino Cinema Factory on Ryazansky Prospekt. There are four filming pavilions, two XR pavilions with LED screens for creating scenes using virtual reality technology, a costume and props center, and a fashion and design center. It is also planned to build a pavilion with a 7 m deep swimming pool for underwater filming.
The film cluster also includes Gorky's historical Film Studio, which is set to be upgraded by the end of the year.
In August, the second Moscow International Film Week was held, which was attended by more than 700 thousand people. As part of the event, the two metropolitan companies agreed to cooperate with Indian and Uzbek partners. "The projects have already applied for financial support from the city for filming in Moscow," Sobyanin said. Moscow has also agreed to share experiences and practices, as well as to develop joint projects with Cairo, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro and Istanbul.
