The lack of tire pressure increases the load on all the components of the tire, and its internal structure collapses during prolonged use. This was announced on September 26 by Alexey Abrameytsev, Head of the Technical Customer Support Department at JSC Cordiant, who listed other reasons for rapid tire wear.

Thus, the tire frame and bulges on it can be damaged if they fall into a pit with sharp edges, and low-profile tires are especially sensitive to such damage. And if the sidewall of the tire does not come into contact with a sharp protruding section of the curb, a cut may form, which most often cannot be repaired.

"Tires require special conditions: access to direct sunlight, contact with heat sources, storage, for example, under a pile of garage junk — all this harms the tires and can manifest itself only after they are installed on the car in the form of cracks or vibrations when driving," the expert quotes Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

The specialist also warned that for a long service life of winter tires, it is necessary to go through the correct run—in - try to avoid sudden maneuvers and observe the speed limit for the first 200-300 km.
