About 500,000 people attended the Cultural City Festival, which took place from August 1 to September 14 in Zaryadye Park. The program includes concerts by symphony orchestras and vocal ensembles, multimedia shows, performances, lectures and master classes, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"The large—scale event brought together about 20 art directions - from classical music and ballet to theater and poetry. More than 7,000 artists from Russia and 26 other countries, including China, Serbia, Turkey, Brazil and Egypt, performed in front of the audience," Sergunina said.

The festival was attended by soloists of the Bolshoi Theater and the Moscow Academic Musical Theater named after K.S. Stanislavsky and V.I. Nemirovich-Danchenko (MAMT), the Moscow Jazz Orchestra conducted by Igor Butman, and the Moscow Virtuosi State Chamber Orchestra.

The III Festival of Youth Symphony Orchestras of the World was held within the framework of the Cultural City under the leadership of People's Artist of the USSR Yuri Bashmet. About 800 young performers from different countries performed at the event. One of the highlights was the premiere of the multimedia play "Technoopera", created specifically for the festival. Arias from 10 famous operas, including Eugene Onegin, Ruslan and Lyudmila, and The Snow Maiden, were performed from the stage.

Zaryadye hosted dozens of concerts of not only classical, but also modern music, accompanied by symphony orchestras. They involved 5,000 instruments.

Special attention was paid to the topic of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. For example, a literary and musical production based on letters and works by Soviet composers was dedicated to her.

In addition, visitors were presented with a poetic program dedicated to the 225th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin.

The Zaryadye Small Amphitheater hosted lectures, master classes, and performances by creative teams from cultural institutions in the capital.

The event became a part of the forum "Territory of the Future. Moscow 2030", which took place from August 1 to September 14 as part of the "Summer in Moscow" project.
