Almost 40 people suffered from tick bites in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

Over the past week, 37 residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory suffered from tick bites. Residents of the region are asked to take precautions in natural areas.

Eight children are among the injured. This is reported by KrasnoyarskMedia news agency with reference to the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.

Since the beginning of the season, almost 14.4 thousand people have suffered from tick bites. 241 people contracted tick-borne encephalitis, another 190 were diagnosed with borreliosis.

A week earlier, the Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection in Moscow announced the activation of ticks. The pests will hibernate only with the onset of stable frosts.
