In Moscow, drivers have become more likely to comply with parking rules
Since the beginning of the year, the number of violations of the requirements prohibiting stopping and parking signs in Moscow has decreased by 26% compared to last year. The metropolitan Department of Transport announced this on September 26 in its Telegram channel.
Most often, such violations are recorded in the central areas of the city, near major transport hubs, near offices and shopping malls, near metro stations, as well as on streets with high traffic. The fine for violating the requirements of sign 3.27 "No stopping" is 4.5 thousand rubles.
The Department of Transport noted that violators' cars block the view of the road to other road users and create congestion, which can provoke accidents, as well as interfere with the passage of special equipment and urban transport.
"Thanks to the round-the-clock monitoring by MADI, drivers have become more responsible in complying with traffic regulations. There are fewer and fewer cases of improper parking. We urge motorists to be careful and leave the car only in permitted places," said Maxim Liksutov, Moscow's Deputy Mayor for Transport.
Earlier, on September 17, it was reported that the number of road accidents in Moscow in the first eight months of 2025 decreased by 8% compared to the same period last year. The number of deaths in accidents decreased by 29%.
On September 12, it became known that following the results of eight months of 2025, Moscow recorded a decrease in the number of accidents involving drivers with signs of intoxication by 30.5%. The number of people killed and injured in road accidents caused by drunk drivers also decreased by 70.9% and 20.4%, respectively, during this period.
