Plans to produce cars at the ex-Volkswagen plant in Russia have been announced
The AGR Holding plant (formerly Volkswagen), which has three models of the Russian Tenet brand on the assembly line, plans to produce almost 112 thousand cars this year. Anatoly Artamonov, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Budget and Financial Markets, told about this on September 26 in his Telegram channel after a visit to the enterprise.
"Together with the director of the plant, we walked through the renovated workshops of the former Volkswagen, discussed working issues. We are pleased with the high production culture inherited from the German company, because almost all the staff at the plant has been preserved. The attitude towards quality is even more serious now," wrote Artamonov.
The Tenet brand models, which were created specifically for the Russian market, were put on the assembly line at the AGR Holding plant in the Kaluga Region in August this year.
The day before, Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, said in his Telegram channel that the Tenet brand had sold 1,179 copies of three T4, T7 and T8 models in less than a month since entering the market. The expert noted that Tenet has replaced the popular Chery model line, and the brand's models are sold in the same dealerships.
On September 22, it became known that the Russian car brand Tenet entered the top 10 of the domestic market for the first time in terms of sales of new cars.
