In St. Petersburg, the installation of a stained glass window began in the lobby of the Putilovskaya metro station under construction. On Friday, September 26, reports 78.ru with a link to the Telegram channel "Coreling".

The stained glass window is mounted on the wall between the entrance and exit from Vasya Alekseeva Street. The structure itself is made of aluminum honeycomb panels, which feature a drawing in the style of Soviet constructivism.

Earlier in September, St. Petersburg once again extended the construction permit for the section of the Krasnoselsko-Kalininskaya metro line from Yugo-Zapadnaya to Putilovskaya. It is now valid until December 31, 2026.

Despite the outwardly alarming signal, the construction committee and industry experts describe the situation as purely technical. Contrary to alarming expectations, the extension of the building permit is a mere formality, and not a sign of new delays, experts say.

On August 28, the governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, in an interview with 78 TV channel, said that construction work at the Yugo-Zapadnaya and Putilovskaya stations themselves would be completed by the end of 2025. According to the data at the end of the same month, the readiness of the Yugo-Zapadnaya station was 90%.
