The first batches of Sollers ST9 pickups with a high degree of localization of the body and chassis rolled off the assembly line at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. The governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Alexey Russian, announced this in his Telegram channel.

New buildings are being built at the UAZ industrial site, modern lines are being installed and equipment is being updated, the governor said. In 2025, it is planned to launch a new pressing line, where body parts are stamped for the company's model range, as well as Sollers cars. The equipment is currently being adjusted on the line.

"To speed up the launch, we helped the company to receive support from the Federal Fund for Industrial Development. They are also actively preparing to launch the production of passive safety systems — steering wheels, airbags and belts," Russian shared.

In January of this year, Sollers launched production of all-wheel drive Sollers ST6 and ST8 pickups using full-cycle technology at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, these models are based on JAC. Based on the Sollers ST9, which is based on the JAC T9, Sollers is developing an SUV, with sales expected in early 2026. The pre-production version of the Sollers ST9 pickup truck was demonstrated in June at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

Earlier, on September 17, it was reported that the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant produced the first batch of 10 pre-production UAZ Patriot SUVs with a new power plant — a 2.7-liter ZMZ Pro gasoline engine and a six-speed manual transmission. The same transmission is installed on Sollers ST6 pickups, but has different settings.
