Ukraine is creating a new type of military as part of the air force — unmanned air defense systems (air defense). This was announced on September 26 by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Alexander Syrsky.

"Ukraine is in the process of creating a new type of military in our air forces — unmanned air defense systems. These are interceptor drones of domestic and foreign production, which destroy enemy drones with high efficiency - more than 70%," the UNIAN news agency quoted him as saying.
