The Russian Atom electric car has been certified in two versions
The Russian Atom electric car has been certified and received Vehicle Type Approval (OTT), which allows it to begin mass production and sales in Russia. This was reported on September 26 by <url> Magazine. The certificate includes two versions — the basic version and the taxi version, which is characterized by the absence of a front passenger seat.
The length of the Atom electric car is 3995 m, width — 1790 mm, height — 1643 mm, and wheelbase — 2635 mm. The stated turning radius is 4.9 meters. Rims from 17 to 19 inches are provided.
The hatchback is equipped with a 204-horsepower electric motor on the rear axle, which allows you to accelerate from zero to "hundreds" in 8 seconds and reach 170 km/h. The battery capacity is 77 kWh, it lasts for 500 km without recharging. It will take 8 minutes to replenish the energy reserve so that it is sufficient for an additional 100 km.
Industrial production of the domestic Atom electric car is scheduled to begin at the end of this year, and in 2026 the model should enter the market, Anton Alikhanov, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said the day before. In mid-June, Kama, the developer of the Atom electric car, reported on the completion of equipping the production site in Moscow, where the assembly line will be carried out. The body welding and painting zones, as well as the calibration, testing and quality control zone, are ready to launch mass production.
Oleg Vakhromeev, Atom's Chief Operating Officer for Marketing, said on July 8 that the Russian Atom electric car would receive a special package designed for civil servants. It will have a different interior and will be offered in two body colors to choose from — black and white.
