The winners of the Business Battle startup competition have been named
The final of the seventh season of the Business Battle startup competition was held on September 25 in Kaliningrad. The organizer is the Russian media Group "Western Press", with the support of VTB, the government of the Kaliningrad region and the RANEPA. The winner received 2 million rubles from VTB for business development. This was reported by the bank's press service.
The main prize was awarded to Johann Voronin with the AmberTerm project. The winner of the second place was Roman Ershov with the project "Bakery at the Teplo house", he will be able to study for free under the MBA program at IBDA RANHiGS. For the third place, VTB awarded 600 thousand rubles to Daria and Maria Titov, the creators of the MIDITI women's clothing brand.
The seventh season of "Business Battle" has gathered a record number of applications in Kaliningrad, the organizers noted. Anyone over the age of 18 could submit their project to the competition at any stage of implementation — from an idea to an existing business. The mentors selected several projects to their teams, which then went through several stages of acceleration, and five projects reached the finals.
"For seven years, Business Battle has been helping entrepreneurs to make themselves known, attract the attention of investors and experts, turn ideas into sustainable businesses, and finalists receive prizes to develop their business," said Denis Bortnikov, Deputy President and Chairman of the VTB Management Board. He noted that the competition is becoming a point of attraction for small and medium-sized businesses, forming a strong business community and stimulating economic growth.
Bortnikov stressed that it is important for VTB not only to finance projects, but also to provide businesses with the knowledge and tools to scale. The Deputy Chairman of the bank's Management Board expressed confidence that the experience of the participants in the competition would contribute to the creation of new jobs and the development of the regional economy.
"The Kaliningrad Region is traditionally a region with high entrepreneurial activity. It is extremely important for us to create conditions under which businesses not only survive, but also grow, attract investment, and create jobs. The Business Battle has become a key platform where entrepreneurs can get practical support, expert assessment and access to resources to scale their ideas. Each project that has reached the final is a contribution to the development of the region's economy and to the future of our region," said Alexey Besprozvannykh, Governor of the Kaliningrad Region.
