The Institute for Internet Development (IRI) presented the main premieres of the film season. Among them is the REN TV project "Dear Willy". Film critic Nikolai Nikulin provided details about the film.
Interesting results of the presentation of the Institute for the Development of the Internet: historical and children's series in the trends of the season. For example, the series "Curious Varvara" became the most watched last year, and overall viewing of Russian series increased by 5%.
"After the first season, it immediately became clear that a second one was needed. We've already filmed the third season. As soon as the project is presented to children, because it is made for children, not about children," explained director Karen Oganesyan.
With the support of Iran, the most popular projects of last year, "Lilies of the Valley", were released, and this year, "Moscow does not believe in tears. Everything is just beginning," and one of the most anticipated was the Strugatsky brothers' film adaptation of "It's Hard to Be a God."
"Big major projects are very important, they move the entire industry forward. They use advanced technical solutions, and in the case of, for example, the project "It's hard to be a God", the whole city of Arkanar was built, this is a fantastic structure, 14 thousand square meters," said Alexey Goreslavsky, Director General of the IRI.
The series, shot with the support of Iran, have 90 international awards. They always have high marks. "Curious Varvara", "Lilies of the Valley", and "It's Hard to be a God" are all projects of the National Media Group (NMG).
"We have channels that specialize in melodramas, channels that show a lot of detective stories, REN TV shows a lot of action movies and also a lot of scientific and educational content. And from this point of view, we are not limited by any genre that we want to produce. We want to produce a full range of content, and we produce a full range of content for all viewers in our country and even abroad," said Svetlana Balanova, CEO of the National Media Group.

"Even though it's a very serious story, there's a lot of irony in the script, which is great. It's going to be fun, it's going to be great," added actor Alexei Rozin.
The series "Dear Willy" will soon be available on REN TV. A special documentary block with exclusive interviews of the participants of the events will be released along with it.
