An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 was recorded off the coast of the U.S. state of Oregon. This was reported on September 26 by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

According to the center, the seismic event occurred in the Pacific Ocean at a distance of 231 km from the city of Bandon. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 km.

There was no information about the victims.

Earlier, on September 25, an earthquake of magnitude 5.8 occurred in Venezuela. The epicenter was located 19 km northeast of the city of Mene Grande, which has a population of more than 60 thousand people. The seismic event was located at a depth of 10 km.
