An explosion occurred on the railway tracks near the Plyussa station in the Pskov region. This was announced on September 26 by the governor of the region, Mikhail Vedernikov, in his channel in the Max.

He stressed that there were no casualties as a result of the incident. There was also no derailment of the train.

Operational services are working at the scene of the incident, the governor said.

On August 28, in the Amur Region, on the Trans-Baikal Railway, a passenger car driver found himself on the tracks in front of a moving passenger train and died as a result of a collision. It was noted that the driver activated emergency braking, but it was not possible to avoid a collision. The driver of the car died on the spot. Passengers and staff of the train did not seek medical help.
