Trump called the completed talks with Erdogan "productive".
On September 25, the head of the White House, Donald Trump, called the talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Washington "productive."
"As you know, I met with President Erdogan here, and we had a wonderful meeting today. I think it was a meeting that turned out to be very productive in many ways," he told reporters during the signing of executive orders in the Oval Office, from where a live broadcast was conducted.
The specific results of the talks, during which the presidents "had lunch together and discussed a lot," as Trump added, will be announced later.
The US president said on the same day that Ankara could easily get his country to supply F-35 fighter jets if it satisfied a specific, undisclosed request from Washington. Trump stressed that everything depends on Turkey in this situation.
