The geography of provocations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) against Russian nuclear facilities has expanded in recent weeks. This was announced on September 25 by the head of Rosatom, Alexei Likhachev, in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

"I think this is a kind of response to our active work with the IAEA, with our partners, including in Europe, in the nuclear energy sector," Likhachev said. A video of the conversation with him was posted on the journalist's Telegram channel.

According to him, the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, knows where the strikes are coming from. The question in this case is what exactly he has the right to say as the general director of the agency. As a private individual, Grossi gives quite adequate assessments, the head of Rosatom emphasized.

"So far, thank God, there are no damages, the situation is under control, but we are doing everything to minimize any negative effects from these attacks," Likhachev said.

Earlier in the day, the governor of the Kursk region, Alexander Khinstein, announced that a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) had attempted to launch an attack on the Kursk NPP-2 in the city of Kurchatov. There were no casualties as a result of the incident, the NPP continued to operate. The neighboring Kursk NPP is also operating normally.
