The head of the Sverdlovsk region, Denis Pasler, dismissed Oleg Chemezov from the post of vice-governor of the region. This was announced on September 25 by the Department of Information Policy of the regional government.

"By decree of the governor, Oleg Chemezov was relieved of his post as vice-governor of the Sverdlovsk Region from September 25, 2025," the department's Telegram channel says.

Chemezov is a defendant in a lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor General's Office regarding the use of a large energy company, Oblkommunenergo, for state revenue. On September 15, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit with the Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg about the appeal to the income of the Russian Federation of a large energy company in the Sverdlovsk region, Oblkommunenergo. Chemezov was declared the defendant, according to preliminary data, he ensured "the coordination of bonded tariffs for utilities provided by Bikov and Bobrov's companies."

On September 23, as a result of searches in Moscow at the addresses of the beneficiaries of Oblkommunenergo, the owner of the company, Alexey Bobrov, was detained. Law enforcement officers transported him to Yekaterinburg, where he was arrested under Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. Tatiana Chernykh, an associate of the energy oligarchs, was detained on a similar basis.
