Palestinian President calls Israel's actions in Gaza genocide
Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip constitute a crime against humanity. This was announced on September 25 by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at the 80th UN General Assembly via video link.
"What Israel is doing in the Gaza Strip is not only aggression, but genocide and a crime against humanity," Abbas said. His speech was broadcast on the UN website.
Abbas also called on "all those who have not yet done so" to recognize the state of Palestine.
Earlier, on September 17, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked the Al-Rantisi Children's Hospital in the Gaza Strip. It is noted that this hospital is the only specialized one in the region that offers treatment for oncology, respiratory, digestive diseases, and dialysis.
On the same day, Izvestia published footage of the evacuation of Gazans against the background of the IDF offensive. The published footage shows queues of loaded cars.
