Italian and Spanish authorities have sent warships to assist an international humanitarian flotilla trying to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip. This was reported on September 25 by the Reuters news agency.

According to the newspaper, the flotilla consists of about 50 civilian vessels and is going to break through the Israeli naval blockade of Gaza. On board are lawyers, parliamentarians and activists, including Swedish eco-activist Greta Thunberg.

"Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said that his country has sent one ship, and another is on the way, primarily to assist the Italians on board the flotilla. He also called on activists to abandon plans to break the blockade," the article says.

Russian Ambassador to Egypt Georgy Borisenko told Izvestia on September 18 that Israel had been preventing Russian humanitarian aid supplies to the Gaza Strip from Egypt for several months. The cargoes are in storage, and some perishable products are becoming unusable, the diplomat noted.

On September 24, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the complete destruction of medical infrastructure in Gaza, where about 150 children have already died of starvation. The Turkish leader said there could be no reasonable justification for such brutality in 2025. According to him, such a "shameful picture" has been observed in Gaza for the past 23 months.
