Chairman of the Central Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina on Thursday, September 25, called the challenge for the Central Bank to bring inflation under control.

"For ourselves, we see it as a challenge to bring inflation under control, as they say, not to miss and not go to the penalty circle," said the head of the regulator at the XXII International Banking Forum.

Nabiullina stressed that when the economy is transformed, it is extremely important to properly assess risks and at the same time continue to finance economic growth. According to her, the Central Bank and the government face the task of finding additional incentives to finance investment projects and increase labor productivity.

The head of the Central Bank explained that increasing labor productivity is the only way to achieve high economic growth. She also expressed confidence that despite internal and external challenges, the market is able to cope with this task.
