Amur beat CSKA at home for the first time in five years

Amur Hockey Club defeated CSKA in the home match of the regular season of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). The meeting took place on September 25 in Khabarovsk at the Platinum Arena stadium.

The game ended with the victory of the hosts with a score of 2:0. Striker Alexander Galchenyuk managed to score goals from defenseman Nikita Evseev, as well as striker Ignat Korotkikh, who was assisted by strikers Matvey Soza and Evseev. Amur goalkeeper Maxim Dorozhko deflected 28 shots during the match.

After the victory, the Khabarovsk team scored eight points and rose to sixth place in the KHL Eastern Conference standings. The Army club, with an asset of nine points, is in fourth position in the Western Conference table.

Amur last defeated CSKA in a home match on January 31, 2020, 4-3.

On the eve of HC Lokomotiv, it won its fourth consecutive victory over Severstal in the Fonbet — KHL regular season match. The match ended on September 24 with a score of 2:1. Following the meeting, Lokomotiv took first place in the KHL Western Conference standings with 13 points. Severstal came in seventh with eight points.
