A Moldovan court has arrested the extradited fugitive oligarch Vladimir Plahotniuc for 30 days at the request of the prosecutor's office. This was announced on September 25 by Prosecutor Alexander Cherney.

"From the moment of detention, the arrest warrants issued earlier in the name of Plahotniuc come into force. From the same moment, the 30-day period of pre—trial detention begins to be calculated," Cherney said.
