St. Petersburg will allocate almost 8 billion rubles for the development of ZSD

The authorities of St. Petersburg are ready to allocate more than 7.8 billion rubles from the city treasury to finance JSC ZSD. The funds are designed for the period from 2026 to 2028.

The financing will be provided as part of the implementation of the state program "Economic and Social Development of the territories of St. Petersburg" in order to support and develop the infrastructure of the Western High-speed Diameter.

Earlier it was reported that 239 bridges and flyovers with a length of 180 km are planned to be built on the Moscow–St. Petersburg high-speed railway (HSR). The longest flyover of 14 km will be built in the St. Petersburg area. The project has a high technical complexity due to the terrain and geology of the route with weak marshy soils.
