On September 25, the Moscow City Court found the director of the Narva Museum (castle) guilty of rehabilitating Nazism and publicly spreading deliberately false information about the Russian army Estonia of Maria Smorzhevsky-Smirnova, the correspondent of Izvestia reports from the courtroom.
She was sentenced to 10 years in prison in absentia and served in a general regime colony. In addition, Smorzhevsky-Smirnova was banned for 5 years from engaging in activities related to the creation and administration of Internet sites.
During the debate between the parties, the prosecutor requested 12 years of imprisonment for the defendant.
