Pensioners can choose a way to receive social services before October 1 — in kind or in cash. This was announced on September 25 by Evgeny Masharov, a member of the commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation for the public examination of draft laws and other regulations.

"If a person does not plan to use the listed services, he can refuse them in favor of monetary compensation," he said in an interview with TASS.
