The Russian Academy of Sciences reported on the danger of ash emission by the Molodoy Shiveluch volcano at 10 km

Kamchatka remains in danger of the Young Shiveluch volcano releasing ash to an altitude of 10 km above sea level. This was announced on September 25 at the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"It remains possible to carry ash up to 10 km above sea level, which poses a danger to aviation flights. There is no eruption of Klyuchevskaya Sopka, but a plume of resuspended (previously ejected) ash continues to move east," the Telegram channel said.

The institute warned that respiratory protection should be used in case of ash loss. The issue is already being carried out in the Pogodny microdistricts and the Novy Settlement of the Ust-Kamchatsk settlement.

On August 18, KVERT reported that the Shiveluch volcano in Kamchatka released ash, raising it to an altitude of 4 km above sea level. It is specified that the ash plume stretches 40 km west of the volcano. The volcano's activity is considered dangerous for local air travel.
