Lavrov confirmed Russia's support for Serbia's territorial integrity
At a meeting with Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric during the UN General Assembly, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov focused on the situation around Kosovo, stressing that Russia fully supports Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty. This was announced on September 25 by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"The Russian side has confirmed its full support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia," the Telegram channel said.
It is specified that at the meeting it was noted that the strategic partnership between the two countries continues to develop. Despite the crisis in international relations, contacts between the parties remain active and intense.
Key aspects of bilateral cooperation were also discussed, including coordination of actions in international organizations and regional issues, in particular, the situation in Metohija and Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
On September 24, Lavrov signed an agreement on the foundations of relations between the two countries during a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development of Grenada at the UN General Assembly (GA), Joseph Endall. It was clarified that the parties also discussed the development of cooperation between the states.
