Belgorod investigators organized a check after reports of nicotine poisoning of a one-year-old child. This was reported on September 24 in the Regional Investigation Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC).

Earlier in the day, reports appeared on social media that the child had been admitted to the hospital with signs of nicotine poisoning. According to preliminary information, he put a stick for a tobacco heating system left by his mother in his mouth.

"In Belgorod, UK investigators have organized a procedural check on information revealed in the media about illegal actions against a minor," the Telegram channel said.

It is specified that during the inspection all the circumstances of the incident will be established and a procedural decision will be made.

On August 25, it became known that 30 people had food poisoning at a recreation center in Dagestan. 20 people, including 15 children, were taken to the Derbent Infectious Diseases Hospital. Later, a criminal case was opened into the provision of services that do not meet the requirements of consumer health safety under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
