Ten-time biathlon world champion Julia Simon will appear in court on charges of theft and fraud. This was reported on September 24 by the French newspaper Le Dauphine Liberty.
According to the publication, in 2023, the biathlete was detained on suspicion of using other people's bank cards to make purchases in online stores during the Blinkfestivalen ski and roller festival in Norway in 2022. It is specified that the damage is estimated at € 1-2 thousand.
Several complaints were also filed against Simon from a colleague of the athlete on the national team, Justine Breza-Boucher, and an unnamed employee of the French national team. Shortly after, the defendant was taken into custody for questioning. At the same time, the athlete herself does not admit guilt.
