The Ministry of Defense of Belarus announced London's interest in military contacts with Minsk

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus has accredited the British defense attache amid London's interest in restoring full-fledged military contacts with Minsk. This was announced on September 24 by Valery Revenko, head of the Department of International Military Cooperation and assistant to the head of the Belarusian Defense Ministry.

"Major George, the defense attache at the British Embassy in Belarus, has been accredited to the Ministry of Defense. The diplomat informed about the UK's interest in restoring full—fledged military contacts with Belarus," Revenko wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

He added that Minsk is counting on a productive dialogue with London in the field of resuming contacts.

Earlier, on September 16, the British newspaper The Times reported that India had sent 65 military personnel to participate in the Russian-Belarusian Zapad-2025 exercises. The publication noted the concern of Western countries about this issue. According to the publication, such an initiative at a time of aggravation of the situation between the Russian Federation and NATO is allegedly an alarming signal against the background of the future scale of security relations between the United States and India.The maneuvers, which took place from September 12 to 16, were also attended by the American military.
