Szijjarto stated the need to rename the EC to the Ukrainian Commission
The European Commission urgently needs to be renamed the Ukrainian Commission. This was stated on September 24 by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto in an interview with the Hungarian ATV channel.
Szijjarto criticized the European Commission's decision not to invite Hungary and Slovakia to a meeting on the planned "drone wall" on the eastern border of the European Union (EU).
"I think this only confirms that the European Commission urgently needs to be renamed the Ukrainian Commission," the Hungarian Foreign Minister said.
The minister also condemned Europe, noting that the EU is increasing the flow of money and weapons to Ukraine, which does not contribute to ending the conflict. According to him, Europe has not taken any steps towards peace in recent months.
"After the Alaska meeting, the Europeans should have advocated for peace, not for increased supplies of weapons and money, because as long as they continue to flow to Ukraine, it is obvious that this conflict will not end," Szijjarto said.
The day before, on September 23, Szijjarto pointed out the EU's attempts to ban him from communicating with Russia and Belarus at the UN. According to the Hungarian Foreign Minister, neither the head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, nor any other Brussels politician "can tell him."
