Accused of making a comment, Rogozin spoke about her emotions before meeting with her family

Evgenia Rogozin, a resident of Udmurtia (listed as an extremist and terrorist by Rosfinmonitoring), who was accused of publicly calling for terrorist activities for leaving a comment online, took her personal belongings from the detention center. She shared her impressions about the upcoming reunion with her family with Izvestia on September 24.

"Have a happy journey home, to the children, to the family, to the parents. We called yesterday, I was talking to my daughter, I heard her voice and I just started crying with happiness. I used to cry from grief, now I'm crying tears of happiness," the woman said.

Rogozin clarified that she had already received all her belongings, but the money and gold seized from her earlier had not been returned.

The day before, the Central District Military Court of Yekaterinburg fined Rogozin 310 thousand rubles in the case of a public call to extremist activity. The state prosecution requested that the defendant be fined 650,000 rubles. The court, taking into account the mitigating circumstances, imposed a penalty below that requested by the prosecutor's office. After the verdict was announced, Rogozin was released in the courtroom.

In November 2024, Rogozin commented on a post in which the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Oksana Lut, explained the record increase in butter prices by increasing the income level of Russians, with the words "burn the witch." In February of this year, a resident of Udmurtia was charged under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls for terrorist activities using the Internet").

Earlier, on September 8, it became known that Rogozin had sent a letter to Lut asking her to forgive her. On August 25, she explained her comment with indignation at the increase in food prices. The woman clarified that she wrote the comment and forgot about it, and now, because of a few words, not only she suffers, but also her family, including children, spouse, brother and parents.
