On September 23, Ukrainian Leader Vladimir Zelensky announced his readiness to hold a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Kazakhstan.

"We have proposed various meeting places — Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, neutral Europe such as Austria or Switzerland, <...>..> if you want, you can meet, for example, in Kazakhstan," he said in an interview with Fox News channel.

When asked by the moderator about a possible meeting with the Russian president, Zelensky confirmed that he was ready for talks with Putin.

Earlier in the day, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations Dmitry Polyansky said that Russia is ready to continue dialogue with Ukraine and does not reject any of the possible formats of negotiations. According to him, Moscow does not refuse to negotiate with Kiev, despite the "dubious legitimacy" of the current Ukrainian authorities.
