Russia is ready to continue the dialogue with Ukraine and does not reject any of the possible formats of negotiations. This was announced on September 23 by Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations.

"We are not abandoning any negotiation formats, but we are solely in favor of a serious, substantive and open—ended conversation," he said during a meeting of the United Nations Security Council on the Ukrainian issue.

According to him, Moscow does not refuse to negotiate with Kiev, despite the "dubious legitimacy" of the current Ukrainian authorities.

The Russian diplomat noted that Istanbul is the optimal venue for negotiations.
