The US Permanent Representative to the UN declared the impossibility of peace in the Middle East because of Hamas

The United States believes that the existence of the Palestinian Hamas movement makes peace in the Middle East impossible. This was announced on September 23 by the Permanent Representative of the United States to the United Nations, Michael Waltz.

"As long as Hamas exists, there can be no peace in the Middle East," he said.

The US Permanent Representative stressed that Washington considers it necessary to completely destroy Hamas in order to resolve the conflict and establish peace between Israel and Palestine.
