Slovak Foreign Minister Blanar supports UN reform
Slovakia's Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Juraj Blanar, announced on September 23 that, in light of the anniversary of the United Nations (UN), he fully supports the reform of the organization.
"Definitely, because it's so necessary," he told RIA Novosti in response to a question.
According to him, in the 80 years since the creation of the United Nations, the world has changed quite a lot.
On September 17, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for the reform of the UN Security Council, removing the realities of 1945. He stressed that he would consider proposals from France and the United Kingdom to limit the right of veto in cases where massive human rights violations occur.
