The petition of the investigation of the Khoroshevsky Court of Moscow on September 23 requested the arrest in absentia of blogger Maxim Katz (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent) in the case of violation of the duties of a foreign agent.

"The court has registered materials on the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention in absentia in relation to Katz," TASS reports.

The blogger is suspected of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Evading duties provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation on foreign agents").
