In five locations in and around New York City, U.S. Secret Service agents discovered electronic devices that could be used to disable cell towers. This was reported by The Guardian on September 23.

"US Secret Service agents eliminated a network of electronic devices located in several locations throughout New York that could be used to disable the city's cellular communications," the material says.

According to officials, Secret Service agents found more than 300 servers and 100,000 SIM cards in five locations. They stated that the system could be used for criminal activities. Illegal substances, illegal firearms, computers and mobile phones were also found at these locations.

Matt McCool, the head of the New York office of the Secret Service, said officials were investigating whether the people who created the network planned to use it to disrupt the work of the United Nations General Assembly (UN).

Earlier, on June 16, Bloomberg reported that US President Donald Trump is launching a mobile communication service under his own brand. It was emphasized that the mobile service will offer unlimited calls to more than 100 countries. A 250-seat customer service center will be set up in the United States.
