Pashinyan: compliance with EU standards does not guarantee Armenia's entry into the union

Armenia may not receive membership in the European Union (EU), even though it meets the standards of the association. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the Democracy Forum in Yerevan on September 23.
"We understand that even after (achieving EU standards — Ed.) we may not become an EU member, but our main task is to comply with EU standards," the agency quoted him as saying.
