Residents of Vladivostok were warned about heavy rain and gale force winds

Vladivostok will be covered by bad weather. On Wednesday, September 24, and on the night of Thursday, September 25, rains of varying intensity and strong winds with gusts up to 20 m/s are expected in the city.

Forecasters do not rule out that up to 25 mm of precipitation will fall in 12 hours, the press service of the city administration told PrimaMedia news agency.

Due to bad weather in the capital of Primorye, operational services were put on alert. They will eliminate the effects of heavy rains around the clock. Resource-supplying organizations must ensure the availability of backup power sources.

Residents and visitors of the city are advised to avoid trips to the coast and be careful when driving around the city. The use of personal transport should be temporarily restricted.

The agency recalls that earlier Boris Kubai, the chief forecaster of Primorsky Krai, said that the activity of dangerous cyclones in the region had been completed this year. Two tropical cyclones operating in the Pacific Ocean do not pose a threat to the region.

Earlier, on September 23, it was reported that there were delays in flights to the regions of the republic at Yakutsk airport. The reason is the deterioration of weather conditions. It is snowing in Yakutsk, and there is ice on the roads.
