The statements about the alleged presence of drones over Copenhagen airport testify to the desire to provoke NATO countries into a direct military conflict with Russia. This was announced on September 23 by Russian Ambassador to Denmark Vladimir Barbin.

"The incident in the sky above Copenhagen Airport is followed by an obvious desire to provoke NATO countries into a direct military clash with Russia. It is unacceptable to condone this," he is quoted as saying in the Telegram channel of the diplomatic mission.

According to the Russian ambassador, Moscow is not interested in further escalation of tensions in Europe, which lead to "unpredictable consequences." Barbin also clarified that Denmark's accusations against Russia are groundless.

The day before, the Danish TV channel TV 2 reported that the reception and release of aircraft at Copenhagen Airport had been suspended due to drones allegedly appearing nearby. It was clarified that several drones were spotted.
