Businessman will be punished for the death of a fitter in the Khabarovsk Territory

An individual entrepreneur, in whose company an employee died, will appear in court in the Komsomolsk district of the Khabarovsk Territory. The businessman is accused of violating labor protection requirements.

The investigation found that in December 2024, an entrepreneur engaged in the production of construction, installation and sanitary works hired a resident of the district to work as an electrician.

Contrary to the requirements of the law, no safety measures were taken at the workplace, and no training or instruction was conducted with the employee.

A few days after the conclusion of the employment contract, the employee fell down the stairs during the installation of the power line. He hit his head on a support and died from his injuries, IA AmurMedia writes.

Earlier, on September 16, it was reported that a criminal investigation into the death of an employee of an electric machine-building plant had been completed in Pskov. The person involved in the case is the head of the testing department. A tester of electric machines transported the equipment alone on a hand truck, as a result of which a metal structure fell on him. The investigation believes that the supervisor of the workshop allowed the tester to transport the equipment alone.
