AvtoVAZ denied the completion of the Lada Aura production

The information that AvtoVAZ has curtailed the production of Lada Aura stretch sedans is not true. This was reported to Izvestia on September 23 in the company's press service, commenting on the information distributed in Telegram channels.

From January to August of this year, 792 Lada Aura business sedans were sold in Russia, with sales of this model exceeding 100 units in the last four months (from May to August), the Autostat analytical agency reported yesterday.

According to him, more than half of all Lada Auras (53%, or 421 units) were sold to individuals. The remaining part was registered to legal entities (47%, or 371 units).

Sales of Lada Aura started on November 30 last year, this model is the most expensive in the brand's line. The business sedan is available in two trim levels and costs 2.6 million and 2.8 million rubles (recommended retail price). The Aura is 4690 mm long, which is 250 mm longer than the Lada Vesta sedan, on the basis of which the novelty is built.

On September 18, mass production of Lada Iskra cars began at the Avtozavod Saint Petersburg production site. Locally assembled cars are shipped to the Lada dealer network. Sales of Lada Iskra started on July 20.
