The defense of the victims in the criminal case of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert Hall asks the investigation to seize the assets of businessmen Araz Agalarov and his son Emin. This was announced on September 23 by one of the lawyers of the injured party, Igor Trunov.

"We ask the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation to take urgent measures to seize the property of the owners of Crocus Group, Crocus JSC, Crocus Pro Private Security Company, Crocus International JSC in order to ensure the rights of victims to compensation for harm," he said in an interview with TASS.

It is specified that the petition has been accepted for consideration. According to Trunov, the maintenance of the fire extinguishing system and the access control system, which ensured the opening of evacuation exits, was carried out by Crocus JSC.

He added that Crocus Group provided "cultural and entertainment events" in the Crocus City Hall building to an unlimited number of people. The building was guarded by the private security company Crocus Profi.

The lawyer of 132 victims, Ksenia Trunova, reported on August 29 that the lawyers of the four defendants in the terrorist attack case had asked them to choose a milder measure of restraint for their clients. According to her, during the trial, the accused sit in a cage, face down, and react indifferently to court decisions.

Prior to that, on August 15, participants in the trial of the terrorist attack in Crocus reported that the verdict of the accused could be announced before the new year. It was clarified that three meetings are held on this case "almost without delay" every week. The trial of the defendants began on August 4, and it is taking place behind closed doors.

Trunova reported on August 5 that one of the defendants in the case offered the victims 1,000 rubles each as compensation for "moral and physical suffering."

The terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall was staged by terrorists on March 22, 2024. As a result of the tragedy, 149 people died, one was missing, and another 609 were injured.
