Maria Kostyuk, who won the election of the governor of the Jewish Autonomous Region (EAO), officially assumed her post. The inauguration ceremony on September 23 was broadcast live via social media.

"I solemnly swear to observe the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the legislation of the Russian Federation, the charter and laws of the Jewish Autonomous Region, respect and protect human and civil rights, and faithfully serve the people," Kostyuk said during taking the oath.
